I saw this book advertised.
Scott Kelby's 7-Point System for Adobe Photoshop CS3
Does anyone have it and if so would it be a good Xmas gift for someone who is new to CS3 :?:

Any other Xmas suggestions for CS3 users?

I ordered this from Amazon and received it a couple of days ago. So far I really like it. It deals with Smart Objects quite a bit in the first couple of chapters, which is as far as I've gotten with it. It seems to cover some different things than his other books.

I purchased the book a couple of weeks ago from my local book store, took it home and reviewed it cerefully and decided it qwasn't for me. The store has a 7 day return policy, so took it back and got my money back.

I upgraded to CS3 this summer and so far have purchased 2 books I found very useful.

They are:

Scott Kelby: The Adobe Photoshop CS3 Book for Digital Photographers.

and

Colin Smith/Tim Cooper: Complete Photoshop CS3 for Digital Photographers.

Another very useful resource for Photoshop is at http://www.radiantvista.com - in partuicular the Photoshop Worlbench and the Video Tutorials links. Free, but you have to check them out every week or they slip into the cost part of the site.
