Hi All,

I've been using PSE since the beginning (when it was PhotoDeluxe) and now have PSE6. I also have CS2, but frankly the only thing that I have used it for is to create a few time-saving Actions that I use in PSE6. I'm interested in what others use CS for that can't be done in PSE. The price difference indicates that there should be a lot. Any comments?

A few features that are not included in PSE6, even with add-ons or plug-ins:
- recording actions (as you have stated)
- The pen tool (vector drawing) very useful for very fine selections
- CMYK separation
- Full 16 bits editing
- Complete colour management, soft proofing...
- Full version of ACR (same level as Lightroom)
- Many useful commands like Apply image, Selective colour...
- customization of shortcuts
- Each tool and command may have much more parameters...

Otherwise, without add-ons, you are missing in PSE6:
- masks
- channels
- Lab or CMYK colour modes
- full curves
- ....

Thanks for the information Michel! I also watched an eSeminar on the Adobe site today that was very enlightening. I'm going to have to give CS2 more of a workout.
