I just ordered the CS3 program. Any suggestion for a good book or and tutorial to learn, how about a website? Thanks a million for your help.

Don

Don,
I purchased CS3 myself but im still waiting for it to come by mail. In the mean time I have the 30 day trial. I went to the library and checked out 7 CS3 books and figured I would see which ones I will buy when the time comes. The 3 that were were helpful to me are:
1) Adobe photoshop CS3 for photographers, By Martin Evening
2) Photoshop CS3 essential skills, By Mark Galer & Philip Andrews
3) Photoshop CS3 , By Scott Kelby

I know theres ALOT more in the bookstore but these are some I found at the library. I found them to be very helpful, written well & to the point without alot of long boring run on explainations. I hope this helps you some. :)

Don Diego, I just jump right in and starting playing!!! Then I do Reka's homework, I have learned a bunch from doing those, you should try them. I also look for tutorials on doing things and try those too. For me trying is the best way to learn.
Thanks Susan, I will start to follow Reka's homework from this they foward. I just installed CS3 last night the installation lasted from 5PM to 1:30AM and I have DSL. Would you belive that? Good thing I left the installation for Sunday otherwise it would had ruin my work day. I'm going to call Adobe and ask them to send me a CD with the program so when my new computer get's here I dont have to waste so much time.
Shalom,
Don

Don,

Scott Kelby's book for CS3 is great and I have that as a reference. I'm always looking for new and helpful books and the second one I got was Adobe Photoshop CS3 one-on-one and it takes you thru the lessons and so far I really like it. I have not had time to get into the disk that came with it but so far that book is a good one.

Senor Don,
There are two Photoshop-driven websites that may be of help. One is Photoshop Roadmap and the other is Photoshop Cafe. I hope this helps.

f/16 on a sunny day.....:)
There's a few NAPP members that hang out here. Is the membership worth the price of admission for the training videos, etc. they offer on CS?

Don:

I hope after spending all that time downloading the install file for CS3 that you still have it saved on your hard drive. Burn it to a CD or DVD for a backup if you don't want to keep it on your PC or will be needing if for your new one. And now for a plug for cable if you have it available. It took less than 15 minutes for me to download it using RoadRunner cable.
