I have come across this looking for ideas on what type of posters/prints/trading cards I can create. Having the tools to create such a wonderful layout I need to learn how to duplicate this. I can't afford the cost of these beauties so I will have to come up with my own. What I would like to do is have each of us that are interested in these type layouts help one another to make a few sets and share. Let me know your thoughts on this idea.

Here is the link for layout ideas: http://www.artisticaction.com/extremesetdetails.htm

Can we do this?????

It has some demos too. I have not gotten that far but will report more later. This is exciting for me and hopefully for some of you sports members as well. Looking forward to seeing what we all can do together.

I like this idea..as I made trading cards for my graddaughters soccer team this year. I bought a template from a scrapper site. Hopefully I can do this with elements until I get CS3. These would also be great freebies to put in the newsletter along with a tutorial on how to do it.
great idea i will check it out more later.

Already working on it. May take me that long.

I love these templates. Colleen sent me a link to this site no too long ago. These can definitely be done in Elements. It takes a lot of blending and mask work arounds but it can be done. In CS it is much easier. Denise is really good at these and maybe we can talk her into a tut for the next newsletter. I will e-mail her about it later. Right now I have to run.

Sounds good. Actually Colleen and Denise were the two that came to mind when I saw these.

I was a bit startled by the prices on that first link: $69 for 3 templates & right below that, $79 for three more. That reminds me, when people here ask, "What should I charge for...", the answer should always be to not sell yourself short.

I know I saw a lot of stuff in the "football thread" on the PET Forum that was as good or better than these templates.

I suspect that doing this sort of thing will come easier to those of you that are scrapbookers. I think Members Templates is a great idea.

Here is one in my gallery that is similar. It is one of the first things I did in PSE3 after finding PET. A few adjustments here and there and different blendings and enlarging some areas and using a dark edge mask and it wouldn't be much different than the ones on that site

I agree with Rusty. I had the exact same thought when I saw the prices they were charging for those templates. Maybe if one had no clue about how to construct a template the price would seem reasonable. BUT, I'm no expert, and sure it would take a while, but $75.00???? Rusty is right: when people ask how much should I charge? - check out links like these.

I, too, vote for member's templates!
