A google search found a tutorial that states styles files should be put into photoshop preset's styles folder. (I didn't search for info for elements.)
Just to be 100% sure, it might be best to do another google search to see if you receive the same info.

Betty you are correct.
If you have styles in pse you can load them into your photoshop.
ok girls.... The first place I looked was in my preset folder but I found no style folder like I can find in Elements.
So I am still no sure what folder to stick them in?
Never thought about a google search, maybe I will have time tonight.

Kimi, I have CS3 & this is the path: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS3\Presets\Styles

If you have not loaded the new styles yet, give this a try.
open a document, add a layer with something you would like to try a style with,
open the styles palette & use the arrow on the upper right to open the fly out menu,
select Load styles.
Find the new styles files (ending in ASL) on your computer & try loading them.
This works just like loading brushes.

I'm pretty sure you must have a CS3 styles folder & your new styles will likely work just fine.

Let us know if this works for you.

When I load styles in CS3 I either do like Betty said and uses the arrow in the Styles palette and choose Load Styles or I just drag the style from Windows Explorer and drop it over the Styles palette. Much easier than looking for the preset styles folder on my hard drive.
