making a background -- silk and snow

Actually, I just wanted to try embedding an image in the post from my computer.

There are 4 layers.

Bottom layer - white
Set foreground and background colors white and light gray
Next layer - filter>render>clouds
Set foreground color a slightly darker gray
Next layer - used a brush from a set named "Brush Luz Hiden" at maybe 50% opacity
Top layer - used a snowflake brush from a set named "Meldir Snowflakes" and added bevels

I thought I might place a photo just below the snowflake layer and let the flakes cover the corner.

That looks really cool! Thank you for sharing your technique, I'm going to have to try that as soon as a have a little free time!

Thanks, Jane and Judy. I've been experimenting with brushes lately for my website and I really liked that Brush Luz Hiden one for creating a little texture.
