Is there a way to easily crop pixs that you plop into scrapbook quickpages? I find it hard to resize the pictures to fit correctly.

The best way to do a quick page is to Add a new layer and drag it to the bottom of the palette, it will be transparent. Then make a selection of the area where the image goes and delete the area on all layers. Make the transparent layer action and then add your image. It will be behind your frame area and easier to use the Transform tool to ressize
