Has anyone else had this or does anyone know whats happening?

I opened my e-mail and a message said that my Yahoo photos were in the process of being switched to Flickr... There was an e-mail link to flickr but they wanted my password..

I did not know that I had a Yahoo photo account.... I did not give the password..

Is this for real or some sort of scam. ?

Tom
Yeah - Yahoo is dumping their photo site and switching everyoone over to Flickr (which I think they also own) but what you are describing sounds like a phishing attempt.
Hi Wags
Thanks for the Yahoo switching info.

I think you may be right on the phishing attempt, at this point I am going to ignor it .

Thanks... Tom
It''s not "phishing". It's the same password you used on your Yahoo account. As mentioned, Yahoo decided to stop duplicationg their efforts and combine them into Flickr. I have a DSL account with AT&T/Yahoo. Everything was moved over for me and they automatically set up a Flickr Pro account for me, for free, as long as I keep my DSL. (I remember getting several emails about what was going to happen to my Yahoo Photos account for quite a while now, it just finally happened.)

Don't worry, it's a Good Thing.
