email notifications?

I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section, but I'm still a little confused.
Why am I not getting any notifications for threads I've subscribed to? I've checked the relevant box in User CP.

I don't seem to get email notifications if there's replies to a thread I posted in. I check the box in the bottom but have never gotten an email.
Is there something else I need to do?

I am getting e mail notification and have no idea how I got to that spot. Just think we will all sit back and laugh at how lost we all felt when we first came here.

I've been fiddling with stuff all afternoon, but have no idea if I was making things worse or better.
