What happened this year. Someone told me it was 1 1/2 weeks until Thanksgiving and I looked at them like a deer in the headlights. You know, like this snuck up on me. I guess if I get my head out of the sand and pay attention to things outside of my computer screen I will know that the days are passing.............Nnnnaaaaahhhhhhh, I'll be right here and they can call me for Turkey dinner, what do ya think? As for shopping, I can do that here online and have it shipped in.......right??? NOT, kids will drag me.........hey maybe I can find a new photo something while I'm out. Just a thought!!!

There are some places that offer on-line specials on Thanksgiving day! I took advantage of a few of them last year - and then got up and stood in line (for the first time ever) at Staples on Friday morning.

Ah yes - thats the hard part, getting up early enough.... last year my dad actually volunteered to come and stay with the kids, they didn't even wake up until about 15 minutes before I got home. I think grandpa snoozed most of the time too.

After I graduated high school I moved to Columbus, Ohio and my first job there was as hostess at a mexican resturant in the mall. The day after Thanksgiving was a mad house. I vowed then I would never go shopping the day after or the whole weekend for that matter, after Thanksgiving. To this day, 24 years I have held true to that vow. No way no how, I don't care how cheap the prices are, I am not going in any store except a grocery store the day after Thanksgiving.

Oh I compeltely understand Kim - hubby is a retail sales manager and has to work the Black Friday sales open to close more often than not, which is why last year was the first time I went. I saved over $500 on stuff I needed, and stuff for my mom and sister.

Usually I shop from home whenever possible regardless of the time of year. I'm one of those women that just doesn't like to shop - well except for bookstores and hardware stores.
