BJ and Judy: I'm very happy that you like my Pismo Beach photos.

Here's the view we had from our motel room - looking to the west.

It's been about a month since a land mark has been posted.

Colorado National Monument.
The single monolith shown is often called Pipe Organ. There are more interesting formations to be viewed. Daring cyclists love the beautiful 26-mile scenic drive.
Fruita & Grand Junction are in the distant background. I hope to visit the region again.

Hopefully I haven't already posted these. We went to the Outer Banks last April (planning another trip this September) and I got some of the lighthouses:

Fort Richardson, Texas

In 1872, it was listed as the largest U.S. Army installation in the United States, with a population of 666 officers and men.

This is the post hospital, which is open to visitors. There are many interesting exhibits.

I think the hospital is in remarkable condition & is a beautiful structure, considering that it was the hospital. I will be posting more photos of other structures: the officers' quarters (Commanding Officer); powder magazine; morgue; commissary; guardhouse; and a bakery, which baked 600 loaves per day.
