Anyone care to guess where this photo was taken?

I'll post the answer in a few days; however, I'm sure all of you will know where it is without any help.

Don't know the spot, but I'm guessing it's an Alaska Cruise.

Rusty is correct. It was in Alaska - the Prince William Sound area.

Today's prisoners think they have it bad. Maybe they should try an 1890 jail for a week or so -- with no running water, no ac/heat, no tv, etc. located in the middle of fire & tornado country -- or maybe in August when the nights could stay 95 or more.

Russ awesome landscape and the train shot is so crisp and clear. Betty i am so happy that you shared the information with your photos very interesting and i love the photos.

Alone the same lines as Betty's post. This was the city jail house in Silver Plume, Colorado. My grandfather grew up in that town. He was born in 1880. I've been told that his older brother spent some time in that jail - behind bars. BTW: The blond lady in the top picture is my DW.

Judy, Thank you. History is so interesting, esp when you can walk right up to it, touch it, & imagine what those times must have been like.

Just happened to drive by this century ++ jail when on a trip. It is located near the Missouri River, not far from St. Louis in an area know for Hermannhof Winery.
