Weez, you may find it hard to believe, this was in the Birmingham News after the game:
Bama fans love the way this clunker of a system worked this year. But think about how close the Tide came to not playing Monday night. It's hard to argue now that Alabama wasn't the best team in the country in 2011. And yet, if it weren't for Oklahoma State losing in OT at Iowa State, or Boise State's kicker missing a game-winning attempt, the Tide wouldn't have danced in New Orleans. How many Tide fans would have been loving the system then?

Alabama proved its mettle when given a chance. More teams deserve the same opportunity. Gift wrap it however you will, but the only real merit of the BCS system is that it keeps some very influential people very rich.

And Rusty, Isni't it a shame that it all boils down to the almighty dollar. There are so many talented players out there that deserve to be seen and never get the chance.
It sure is fun to tease others once in a while about their getting to play and leaving a team with a better record on the sidelines.
