I would appreciate instructions so that I can edit/replace a web address with a phrase or plain words.
Example:
How would one have http://photoshopcreative.net read ' Check it out' without showing the web accress.

I notice that many people include something like 'My Gallery' which is a link to their gallery without showing the actual web address.

Well now, we use to have a thread that gave instructions how to do different things on the forum and this was one of them. We had it pinned so it would on top all the time to find. Interestingly enough it isn't pinned anymore and I can't find it. So I did a screen print of mine because if I typed it out it would keep showing the linked text instead of instruction. When you are in your Control Panel under Profile then Edit Signature you will type the text you want, highlight it and then click the URL above in the toolbar. Paste the url for your gallery. I am hoping this is it because these options have changes since I first did this and this is the only way I can figure it works now. So hopefully you will see after you do what I just said, the edit box should look like mine (the first line after my name).

Didn't think that thread would be in that category. I did put a sticky on it so it is at the top of subject again. Before I said pinned but what I meant was sticky. The link Judy posted is the instructions I was looking for.

If you use FireFox, you can download BBCode Extra and do it with a couple of mouse clicks with no need to learn any code.

Grrrrr....tried including the link to it and keep getting that "Forbidden" error when I do.

This is the link:

You also have to make sure that the bbcode option us turned on in the User Control Panel (as shown in Kim's post).

Glad this point came up - BBCode hasn't been working for a while, so solved it for myself also!

I have also wondered how it was done. Thanks for the help. Below is my test. It didn't work.

Can anyone see what I did wrong? Thanks in advance - Russ

FYI: Below is a link that shows it's a good site. If you open the link let it load and enjoy the slide show.

Russ' Gallery ( I added a couple of symbols / ] see below)

Russ, try adding / before the letters url & adding ] at the very end. Don't add any extra spaces.
