The third Sunday after Easter is First Communion time and second-graders are all duded up and excited. I always look forward to recording the event. Nothing is posed, most photos are pretty ordinary, I always get a few that make me smile. Check out this happy little girl (and special nail polish):

The lady that I deliver my work to always laughs and tells me, "You are such a sucker for little girls." OK, I admit it. I look for good looking boys as well:

Despite the small size, can you see the blue eyes and spray of freckles?

Rusty i just love these portraits. They speak volumes.

The wet weather has prompted big mushroom clumps in places where rotting wood is under the surface. I didn't realize what I had captured until I zoomed in on the 'puter screen.

Great candids of the 1st communicants. I wonder what is on her nails? The church lady is right - little girls get all the glory; you should see the boys clothing section of kids departments compared to the girls section. It ain't fair.

Rusty ah ha so that is where the we fella went. Hiding in the mushrooms. Now i am hungry for mushrooms.

Suprised it wasn't a Smurf.

No smurfs but the wildlife have been active since my return from a week plus trip.

Looked out the kitchen window and enjoyed watching Bambi figure out how to raid a bird feeder.


Then a day later I watched these visitors.
