Or not.

Too funny and sad but true.

Absolutely nothing to do with Photography - and a couple of bad words, so don't be offended.

For non Canadian Hockey fans, Hockey Night in Canada is a long running (ever since I can remember) that broadcasts NHL games in Canada. The two guys featured in the video are Ron MacLean (left side) and Don Cherry (right side, loud suits and ties, no BS Hockey commentator who the fans love and the NHL dislikes). A lot of marginal Hockey fans turn into their intermission commentary just to watch Don Cherry unload.

Stompin Tom Connors is a Canadian country singer with a unique singing style and stage presence - he has a trademark style of keeping time by stomping his foot and has to use a plywood sheet to stand on as he ruins stages.

If you are interested, here is the original - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4TSkpI9wdk0 - starts about 2:00 minute mark.

That's a good one, John.
The only time I get to watch this part of Hockey Night in Canada is when I visit Courtney. Even then, it's not easy as she isn't a Don Cherry fan.

And its starting to look like there may not be an NHL Hockey this season as the two sides are still as far apart as they were when the lockout started.

Yeah, Don Cherry drives me nuts.

Last month while waiting in line at the amusement park, none other than Mikka Kippersoff (doubt I've spelled that right) lined up behind us for the roller coaster. (He is a star, one of the best goalies in the league, and has played for the Calgary Flames for several years now.) Brad was so stoked since he thinks the world of Mikka's abilities. He shook his hand and told him they were missed. Mikka was very approachable. I saw him posing for a picture with the 2 kids in line behind him, but everyone left him alone, no pestering. If it weren't for the strike, I doubt he would have been hanging out at the amusement park.

We're upset about the lockout too. We're season ticket holders for the Carolina Hurricanes and were looking forward to the season. I'm hoping we'll get at least some hockey action this season. In the meantime, we'l be making at least 1 trip to Charlotte to see the Checkers play!

Who's glad hockey is back?? Going to the 2nd home game tonight!
