You know from posts over the years that DW really likes squirrels. Not only do we have squirrel feeders, we have two squirrel houses.
Last winter we started seeing a little red squirrel in our yard. That's unusual. Red squirrels are common in Wisconsin but they live in the forests and tend to avoid suburban lawns.
I wanted a photograph and hoped to include a red and gray in the same image so the size difference would be obvious. The little red is so skittish that he zooms off at high speed whenever a gray shows up. I resorted to two shots taken of the same thing, from the same spot and just a few minutes apart.
Photoshop to the rescue ... two images combined.
