I didn't know where else to post this, sorry if it's in the wrong spot. I installed PSE6/4 and started to pull in my photos. I wanted to play and in PSE5 organizer I highlight a photo that I want to work on and it gives me the options of quick edit/ full edit or photoshop and it would open CS2 if I chose it. In PSE6 I don't see that option in the list of how to edit a photo. The only option is editor. Is there a box I need to check to make it show up or is that a new issue not fixed yet?

Funny. The only thing I can think of is that because you installed PSE6 last, it didn't add CS2? I had PSE5, then installed CS3 and it is in there.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

In PSE5 you can go to the Organizer's preferences and set up a supplementary application for editing. The Help file for PSE6 says the following:

...select Edit > Preferences > Editing. Select Use A Supplementary Editing Application, and browse to the application.

I would assume it works the same as in PSE5.

Right, Juergen, it works the same in PSE6.

As usual I follow instructions like posted and the box is checked but it still doesn't show up to edit in CS2 in PSE6. Am I to click on the photoshop.exe file or something else? Maybe I still don't understand.

Yes, you have to click on Browse and navigate to the .exe file, highlight it and click Open.

I did that and still I don't see it listed. I will try again tomorrow, maybe it will show up after I reboot.

Since my last post on this subject I have been trying to get the CS2 link to show up in PSE6. Any more suggestions as to why this doesn't show up. I have tried everything except uninstall and I'm not about to do that. This is my only issue and I don't want to create other problems by uninstall/reinstall....so if there are other options know, I'm game to try them to make it work.

Once specified in the preference menu, the option is added in the edit menu of the organizer. It is not an option when you right click and choose full edit. There is also the shortcut Ctrl H. Also, I suppose there may be problems with having both editors open at the same time (memory?) If you want to use CS2, maybe open PSE directly in the organizer, not the editor?
