- the intial back-up can take awhile if you have a lot to back-up but after that it happens so quick you don't even notice it working. No more trying to remember to back up or burn DVD's etc. I do still use my Western Digital EHD for backing up some things that I'm not quite so concerned about losing. And Carbonite is supposed to be making it possible soon to back up EHD's and Mac's too.
