Everytime I open PSE5, I get a Windows pop-up stating:

Could not open remote server.
http:///???%12?%C3%AF????????????%12?%12g

I've got NO idea what to do to get rid of this. Any help out there?

Also ran an updated virus scan and adware scan, but nothing shows there.

It just happens using the EDITOR, not the ORGANIZER.

Hi Johnny and welcome. I have never seen that error before. Have you installed anything new since the last time you used PSE5? You say you can open Organizer but not Editor. Have you tried opening Editor without going through the Organizer? Have you tried to just restart your computer?

Try this: In Organizer go to >Help >Updates... That will open the Adobe Updater, click on Preferences and uncheck 'Automatically check for updates every month', click OK then Cancel in the next box.
Next go to >Edit >Preferences >Services and uncheck 'Automatically check for services'. Click OK. Exit Elements and re-start it. Post back if this does not help.
