I followed the directions for homework #68 as to how to create a watermark. The last thing I did was the "hide" part and deselected the eye beside the background color and saved the watermark as "watermark.png." I also chose none when the interlace boxed appeared. Now when I go to insert it into another picture it has a white background. It is no longer transparent, as it was when I saved it. Can anyone give me any tips?

Thanks!

Lauren, what program are you using? Pse or CS? It makes a difference
Hey I am using PSE 6
I believe that when you save a file as a png, there is a check box that says something like 'Preserve Transparency'. Do you know if that box was checked when you saved the file?

I figured it out. I was putting the watermark on the picture, rather than the other way around. It works now.
Thank you!
So glad you got it worked out! Welcome to the forum, we are so glad to have you!
