I agree with lowbone on all points.
One thing the G9 gives me that the DSLR does not is opportunity; the G9 travels with me every day, the DSLR (30D) does not and, practically speaking, cannot. So....at least at this time in my life....the G9 is great to have and to use.

I now have to waite until I get the gallery going before I can buy it. I was going to buy it in my next trip to St.Thomas, the man I buy my cameras from was giving it to me for $450.00 but the gallery now is priority numero uno. I have to buy 2x4 and sheet rock to fix and ad some exibit walls plus get the power on but I'll get it sooner or later.
