10-20mm F4-5.6 EX DC HSM lens allows enjoyment of super wide-angle photography and it is a very powerful tool for indoor shooting and landscape photography with APS-C size image sensors of digital SLR cameras. Wide angle of view (102.4 ° at 10mm and 63.8 ° at 20mm) offers the photographer greater freedom of expression. Three SLD glass elements are employed for effective compensation of color aberration, which is a common problem with super-wide angle lenses. One piece of glass mold and two hybrid aspherical lenses, offer excellent correction for distortion, as well as all types of aberration. This lens is equipped with an inner focusing system, and the models which are equipped with HSM system provide quiet, high speed autofocus shooting and also offer full time manual focusing. It has a minimum focusing distance of 24cm (9.4») at all focal lengths. The non-rotating lens barrel perfectly suits the petal shaped lens hood. A circular polarizing filter can also be used conveniently. Minimize

Ok amigos I bought it, Thank you for your help.
I got the 10-20 Sigma lens today and took a buch of pictures in St. Thomas under different lighting conditions the lens is INCREDIBLE. I shoot every thing I could find and I just love it. Will show you some picture later I'm tired like a dog and having a lot of back pain. Going to bed early tonight. I pay $425.oo and got a Canon 77mm filter free. I strongly feel this will become my normal lens from this day foward. I find myself using the 10mm side of it more than the others. Incredible lens reminds me of my Rollei 50mm wide angle lens. Thank you again for all your help my friends.

Don

Don,
I can understand your excitement for such a very wide angle lens. For years in my film days my favorite was a Fujinon 27-45mm. I even bought a 19-35 mm Soligor (42mm thread, manual...) which gave me splendid landscape transparencies. I was a little disappointed with my G6, 35mm equivalent like most non DSLRs. Now, with my Sigma 17-70mm I am more than happy and shoot mostly at 17mm... I found once a software that could make statistics from the metadata: focal length, speed, f-stops... it tells a lot about your shooting preferences. I'll sure have a look at your new additions to your galleries!

Mithchel, I had a 24mm Nikkor that the lens hood lost it's color,LOL. I shot everything with it.
Then when Fritz game the Rollei I hardly used the normal 80mm it was the 50mm wide angle which to me was like my 24". Now in the last few years it has been the 150mm getting tight compositions. But man this lens now has jump start me back to the old days. Thank you again to you and all the other friends that graciously gave me info on it.

I have a shoot tonight and another one tomorrow so I'll be working on Richard's download on Sunday. I'll let you know how things turn out my friend.

Regards,
Don
