Came across this website today: http://www.diyphotography.net/

Lots of interesting things you can make yourself to improve your photography like building your own softboxes and some videos on making your own studio lighting set up from http://prophotolife.com/
Here is another link for a pretty simple light box: http://digital-photography-school.com/b ... ight-tent/
Looks like some useful stuff in those three sites. I didn't have a lot of time to really look at them (I'm still working) but I will really check them out whenI get home. Thanks for the leads, saves me a bunch of time.

FYI - Sears has their Craftsman 1000 watt Tripod Light with Portable Stand
Sears item #03473825000 Mfr. model #WL500DPT-S on sale through May 3rd for $19.99

I saw an EBAY site that was selling these (for $50) and showing how to use two of them - behind screens to make a pretty cool looking continuous lighting set up.

Plus that is pretty cheap price for tripods if you didn't want to mess with the concrete "stick in a can" method.
White foam core board comes in handy for constructing blocks, reflects and miscellaneous items for photography. You can use fabric tape or filament tape to add strength. It is easy to cut with a box knife and a straight edge.
