Today is my first day of using my Olympus SP-570UZ. I've used it on auto and scene-landscape views and will be downloading them tonight. Apart from not changing lenses it has many of the features of a DSLR. It has a 20x optical zoom and a super macro mode which allows pictures 1cm from the subject!

My only criticism so far is that all but the basic manual is on CD, so I'll be doing a bit of printing! Plus criticism of my rats, aho have now decided that opening the door for a photograph means opening the door to get out - and free-range means "get out of the way quickly!"

Sounds like your are having fun, Ann. Can't wait to see what you shot!!
I want more TIME! Today has been really busy with two church services - I was on the computer for the second one (fortunately uneventfully) and am preparing a Powerpoint for a couple of meetings I'll be taking soon - mainly montages and pictures on "Things for which we are thankful." I'll try to write a few 4 or 8-line poems to go with it.

Tonight I have to:
Download and edit a few more pictures from my camera.
Put a few in my Powerpoint
Feed and play with the ratties and hamsters
Do a little tidying - at any rate so I can see the floor!
