Does anyone here have this camera?? I just bought it and have a few questions...I had a Kodak before and find this camera has a learning curve for me...
I wondered about night scenes...I would have thought I could have taken them in Auto mode...but so far I can't...surprised it's not in the "Special Scenes" mode...Looks like I have to use the "Manuel" setting???
I hope someone having this camera can help you. Here is a review:

Thanks Michael! That site may give me more insight...but still hope someone else there has this camera. :thanks:
Terri, I have the 850 IS. What exactly are you trying to do with night shots"?

p.s. There is a Night Snapshot mode in SCN (Special Scene) mode. The icon for it is nearly illegible, but it appears to be a head-and-shoulders person, crescent moon, and - perhaps - the Eiffel Tower on a white background. I'm not sure how the mode works; the description in the Basic Manual (page 12) doesn't give many clues. Hope you'll give it a try and tell us what it does! :)

Ah! Glad to see you have the same camera....I did see that setting...haven't tried it yet...I thought it was for mainly people shots at night...I live at a lake so at dusk there's some really beautiful times to take pics...I will play some more!!
