Anyone tried the G10? Most reviews are very good quality, but some features were reduced. I'm still hoping to get a new p&s, once our finances stabilize.

If I were after a p&s that's definitely the one I'd want - though I'd happily make do with the G9.

I have the G-9 and I'am happy with it. Now I have a friend that is a very good photographer and he just got the G-10 and he is very happy with it. IMHO you can't go wrong with it. If you need a point and shoot that's the camera to get.

I took the bait and got a G10. I got as far as charging the battery....have been inundated with work ever since. Maybe this weekend.....

Well, I believe the G10 will be a very nice camera....but I really won't know until Adobe releases a new version of ACR/LR that can accommodate the RAW images from the G10. Looks like it just missed the cut - the Canon 50D and the G10 came out almost simultaneously, but the 50D got in under the wire for ACR 5.1 while the G10 waits for the next release... :crying:

The Canon software that came with the G10 is marginal at best; I'm not going to waste precious hard drive space loading it, so I'm doing RAW + JPEG until ACR 5.2/LR 2.2 comes out.

Will keep you posted!
