OK, so I just got a wild hair (or I'm too tired to think straight this morning!) and entered a couple of my shots in the World In Focus photo contest sponsored in part by National Geographic. And they even provide links so I could ask my friends (wink, wink, nudge, nudge) to vote for me in the People's Choice portion of the contest. I entered my Purple Flower and Hear Me Roar shots that are in my Gallery.

After voting I went back to the website and skimmed thru the entries; you have some pretty tough competition. I also read the blurb about voting that explains one vote per email address and goes on to explain that if anybody votes more than once (I did, one vote for each of your images) only the last vote cast will be counted.

Thanks everyone!!! I have not set my expectations too high for this, but what the heck.....can't win if you don't at least try. I will let y'all know if anything comes of this.
