Steve, good observation on the street signs indicating flash fired. That would explain why the shutter speed settled on 1/60 second, probably the normal synch speed for Suzi's camera.

It is well written and understandable so that even a layman like myself could understand

Susan I have that book and I agree it's really a good one for explaining all the settings, what the do and how they do it. Your photo is a wonderful accident. Currently that is how my shots are.....accidents. Hopeing this book can open the door so to say.
