Dear Suzib:
Thank you for the compliment.
I will be glad to help you in any way I can. I'am working in a B&W tutorial to post in the forum soon. Any time you need help just email me at
dondiegophoto@yahoo.com and I'll be happy to help you and give you suggestions. There are 4 things that are important to B&W image making and must be considered:
1- Good Exposure is a MUST have in B&W photography you start with a a good expose image and half of the battle is won. Color is much more forgiving but B&W is a complete different ball game.
2- You have to know how a B&W image should look and feel. This come with exposure to fine art black and white pictures been in the web, books and much preferable museums.
3- You have to understand that not every picture will make a fine B&W image.
4- You must separate the image in zones or areas. In a lake scene scene for example you have the 1-sky, 2-the lake, 3-the foreground and 4-the subject that may be an old house. Now you have to work each area by it self and when you finish they will not only have to compliment ea. other but make the image come together as a solid unit. What I call "dance".
Buit i will continue to talk about this in my tutorial.
