This is all very frustrating :crying: ! If I go to edit something it loses all the text.
Signatures do not show up in edit signature.

My signature was changed to:

Joe

[url=http://www.prestophoto.com/photos/?Joe's Gallery[/url]

But you don't see it And now it may show it does not have enough data to post!

Noticed after clicking preview message block was blank...
:help:
Joe,

The disappearance of the signature may be a bug. This is why I recommend setting up your signature detail in a word/text processor, then doing a copy/paste to the signature input page.

Once pasted in, be sure to scroll down to the page bottom where you will see 3 buttons - be sure to click the green submit button, then open another tab and check one of your posts to see if signature line has been updated.

If not go back to word/text processor and repeat.

John,

Thanks for the reply. There seem to be a lot of bugs. I noticed that if I edit a post, well it is the same as a delete, everything is gone and I need to start over.

By the way what is wrong with this?

Your example included a user id. No sense working on a signature if it is going to be incorrect. I can see why you recommend saving it in a word document, so you are not continually retyping things. I have gotten to the point of copying things to the clipboard before posting. And forget previews, same thing happens, everything is gone and start over unless you have a copy.

Joe
Joe,
The forum software was recently upgraded, so there are might be a bug to work out. The need to copy text to a clipboard while posting was recently reported to support@PrestoPhoto com. Hopefully, that will be fixed soon.

Betty, Joe,

Glad to hear that the issue has been reported.

Point to note, I am experiencing a problem once the BB software has “transformed” the visible preview for a Joe’s Galery only link, so very specific as to what the issue is.

Now to Joes specifics.

You have a bracketing problem. HTML coding is quite demanding and a bracket out of position or missing can have huge effects.

Here is the line as you posted it.

Yours:

What you are missing is a ] between the ? and Joe’s

So:
photos/?Joe's

Should be
photos/?]Joe's

once you enter that character, copy and paste it into the signature panel and submit and all should be O.K.

P/S: I looked at this and tried things for a while and kept on having problems. That is why I developed the Excel spreadsheet approach. An HTML coder I am NOT.
John
John,

I have tried multiple approaches without success. Seems to have something to do with user id.

Some of attempts:

As long as I am posting let's see how this image post works.

Joe,

Almost there, forgot about these things you need to do also.

1. Go to User Control Panel

2. Click on Board Preferences tab

3. Click on Edit Posting defaults item

4. Check the "Enable BBCode by Default" to Yes

5. Click on green Submit button.

The syntax of ALL of your links is good, just needs the BBCode option turned on.

You might have to re-edit the signature panel option to get it stick, but that should be it.
John
:thanks:

It does link to the gallery but will not work in the signature.
