First one (lunch) I used the paint brush to desat all but the lobster. Then painted the lobster brighter. Finally used a dragan preset, well actually 2 presets.

After ACR, use a gradient map filter (2 stops, one blue, one orange) in 16 bits PSE, plus boosted saturation a little.

OK, may be a bit of a cheat, but I wanted to try it out.

This is the Sky image with a bit of AussieDen's paint with light technique.

Not sure this is a good use, but love the results that I have seen with it.
