My turn again,

Just some fall shots from Ottawa – a dark red leaf and telephone lines gleaming alongside a traintrack.

Remember the rules of engagement:

All work must be done in either ACR or LR except for cropping, sharpening and using your noise filter (although there's nothing to stop you from using LR for them). If you are using Elements or an older version of Photoshop and do not have access to the full range of the adjustment tabs and sliders that are available in LR, you may make up to two additional adjustments in Elements/Photoshop, as long as they are adjusting lighting, shadows or contrast. In other words, not the filter gallery, not Brush strokes, just basic adjustments to the image.

If you use a preset, please list the name and a link to the source if you have that information. Also, if you'd like, please describe or tell us about your workflow.

Above all, remember LR's Fifth Rule: Enjoy!

Rd leaf..used LR2 , painted out most of the background, then boosted the color in the leaf. Cropped and sharpened in CS3. Nice image, John.

Instead of using LR for this one I did in ACR except for cropping. Used matt's preset vividity level 3

And this version of the Leaf. Tried to pick out the vein patterns and keep the burnt red effect.

Michel - like the b&w of the train track picture - it really shows off well in the large scale image in the gallery.

Suzi - really like the detail you kept in the leaf and the saturated reds. I kind of have a yearning to highly saturated images and find that this one for some reason works better with a light sharpening touch.

Keep em coming!

Trying to dive in to the B&W pool, so here is the leaf, grayscaled, then split toning - reddish for the highlifhts and yellow for the shadows.

Hmn?
