I've got Lightroom on my Christmas list for all my family to see. Does anyone have a suggestion for a good book on Lightroom.
Thanks
John

John....

I bought Martin Evening's book. I can't say it's any better or worse than others since it's the only one I've read. Likewise I can't say how useful you would find it because I don't know your background.

For me it didn't really provide much more information than I got from just playing with LR. I didn't come away with any feeling that I could improve on my workflow because my needs I guess were different from Martin's way of working.

You'll find a number of web video tutorials that may be of more help. Here's a link to get you started - there are other sites as well.

My favorite Lightroom book (I have 3) is Lightroom Adventure, by Mikkel Aaland. I've always liked his books, going all the way back to Photoshop Elements 1...! Very readable, and fantastic photos abound.

I took several books out from the library on interlibrary loan before I decided which one to purchase.
The best one I found was:
Adobe Photoshop Lightroom for Digital Photographers Only by Rob Sheppard
I am very happy with it.

Howdy John:
I have Kelby LR book but it only serve as an intruduction to the software. I also have Martin Evening's book and I downloaded and printed his book on version1.2 free that teach you all the new additions to the new upgrade to the software it is about 150 pages long. I think Martin is an excellent photographer and teacher, he also have a very good website with tuts.
