Remember the rules of engagement: All work must be done in either ACR or LR except for cropping, sharpening and using your noise filter. You can make some MINOR changes in PSE/CS3 if you want. If you use a preset, please list the name and a link to the source if you have that information. Also, if you'd like, please describe your workflow.

Now, if you want to you can pretty much ignore the rules and have fun, cause the boss isn't gonna complain.

Above all, remember LR's Fifth Rule: Enjoy!

The trick to get a stronger 'faux HDR' look? Simply save the first edit in PSE6 as jpeg, reopen in ACR and apply previous conversion.

Very interesting comparison for those views in Annecy (Lake Geneva, French side) in the misty morning. Suzi renders a faithful rendition (perhaps should be a little 'colder' but it's more pleasant like this). Sunny's renditions are more warm and 'optimistic', whereas Shari's is very dramatic (could represent a nordic scene?)
Shari, I noticed in your recent posts (your niece, the old train...) a special liking to dark, dramatic colours (low keys); is it your taste, present mood? or is your display too bright?

Michel, it's the mood. I have had a really hard summer. 2 surgeries and then pneumonia. I have about another 4 weeks before I can do anything, no riding or driving. I can't get out and use my camera yet. It's has about got the best of me! but I am on the mend now! Thanks for asking! I should check out my calibration though, what method do you prefer for calibrating your monitor?
Shari, gald to hear you are starting to feel better, it is nice to have you with us.
Thank you Suzi, I can't hardly wait to get to go do something!
