Photoshop Creative

I have some images that were taken with my camera set to jpeg mode.
I have pulled it into CS3 worked the image and saving as a jpeg is not an option. It is coming from LR as a Tiff file. I can save the file as a PSD, finish working on it and it still will not let me save as a jpeg so I can send it to print. I have never had this issue when I was shooting raw.

I checked my camera and it is set to Jpeg, Fine.
Is the Tiff change over coming from LR?

I now have a PSD file that won't save to print.

On a guess, in LR. Edit, Preferences, External Editing is set to 16 bit mode. IN CS3 you can reset this by Image, Mode, and putting a check mark on the 8 bit option.
