ACR plus in Elements:
- gradient map adjustment layer in luminosity mode acting as a curve
- vignette
- cloning out light part in the upper left corner

Excellent portrait!

So, it was not just me... it took me some time to find out! By the way, you can get a pretty large print out of it. Maybe need some noise reduction on the dark blues, which are superb.

Suzi, if you want that, either do it in Slideshow or bring it back into LR and crop away the white. This isn't any great big timesaver, but it's fun to find things that LR can do.

Been too busy around here for a while, back in action.

Love these pics, but didn't figure out the pond until I saw Michels post re upside down.

Used vignetting, then the adjustment brush to throw some light into the face

Used something called Hallowed Black, then a few tweaks.

Neat picture, confused me completely. Used some spot removal tools, then Matts Vividity Level 3 and Camera Calibration Profile Camera Vivid Red Beta 2

Yes, the pond picture was taken upside down.... :D It was one of those situations where the reflection of the trees and sky in the water looked better than the real trees and sky. A friend made the suggestion that I shoot with the camera upside down, and it worked pretty well. Then, to make things a little interesting, we threw a pebble in the water and added a few ripples. I actually took a short series of shots, with and without ripples. Just experimenting a bit....
