ACR/LR challenge #35

I take the liberty to submit something for this week's challenge.
It was part of the series I took of a Carnaval last May. (See my gallery)
Luckily I had my G6 with me and I shot raw.
This is a picture of the 'Gilles de Binche', a famous Belgian character!

Here is the link to the raw file:

Remember the rules of engagement: All work must be done in either ACR or LR except for cropping, sharpening and using your noise filter. You can make some MINOR changes in PSE/CS3 if you want. If you use a preset, please list the name and a link to the source if you have that information. Also, if you'd like, please describe your workflow.

And, as Gene implied recently, no one is going to police the process :o

I have just downloaded it... and I wonder how white or yellow this rose is really, no way to tell the proper white balance! I'll do it tomorrow.

By the way, I have chosen the above photo because you have two distinct white balances: warm afternoon on the feathers of the hat, and blue cast on the white collars. Difficult to deal with this in ACR only, but relatively easy to deal with afterwards in PSE. With LR, that should not be a problem.

Probably not the right place for this type of edit, but here is what I did in PSE6 to enhance texture and local contrast.
- some clarity in ACR
- extracted blue and red channels
- the screen shot of the layer palette shows the settings.
- The last step was stamping visible, and heavy sharpen, in lighten mode, with shadows masked.

Michel, the rose is supposed to be white, you did a great job with it.
