John,
Thank you so much.
For the life of me I couldn't find any way to do it. Ctrl Z worked for me, but for some reason not all the time.
I was getting so angry, because every time I used a preset and did'nt like it, I would have to close out & reopen the picture again. Very frustrating to say the least. I new there was an easier way. I really appreciate your help.
Again, THANK YOU!!!
Linda

Eddie:

In unknown country I always run through the white balance settings - looking either for the right one or one that gives an interesting result. Much easier to do in ACR than in Lr (because in windows you can activate the WB dropdown and then run through the choices with the arrow keys).

Nice result!

And now, here is my bird shot - tough bird to work with! :chickendance: :chickendance:

Tried so many things I am no longer sure, but did it all in Lr, including the highlight in the eye, BUT, it needs a real paint brush in photoshop to get that right!

Good job with the bird, John. I have about 10 more want to work on those also, just kidding.
John, I agree on WB. Even a little off it has drastic results. You also did a great job on Mr. Hawk but how did you do the highlight in the eye in LR. I was trying to figue that out and finally I cheated in Elements.

Edmund,

I tried using the local adjustment to colour that area and it wouldn't change the colour to white, so I did a really tiny adjustment brush and then cranked down the exposure - It kind of gave it a bright(er) spot, but Elements brush is the way to go.

Thanks John. When I did it in Elements all I did was avery small selection and then de-saturated the selection. I guess there is a 1000 ways to do it some better then others.
