The Rules:

1. Lr Rule 5 - Enjoy

2. The Usual stuff:

Remember the rules of engagement: All work must be done in either ACR or LR except for cropping, sharpening and using your noise filter. You can make some MINOR changes in PSE/CS3 if you want. If you use a preset, please list the name and a link to the source if you have that information. Also, if you'd like, please describe your workflow.

Or not, but fess up and tell us what you did.

All of the ones I am posting are in serious need of help in one way or another. I would like to make one request though. Could you post a before and after. That way members who don't take part in this can see just what amazing changes you all did to the images. A couple were taken in so bad fog!!

Gene and Chuck, you two have been MIA for awhile, hurry back.

Linda, there is a few for you too!!

for linda (these are jpegs cuz I can't get her to try raw files yet but am slowing trying to ease her into it), so Linda give just one a try this week. I know I am PUSHY!!!!

First one.
Difficult due to a color cast rather than a white balance problem. In ACR, optimized for skin tones. Then in Elements edited separately the part affected with the cast (color mask as in my Newsletter tutorial) and the rest of the image:

Good job, Michel. My family room really gives off a horrible color cast doesn't it.

Most adjustments made in ACR: spectacular!

With those buildings local enhancements like clarity, high radius USM or High pass tend to produce very visible halos; so I only played with tonal contrasts, finishing with a gradient map in luminosity mode to simulate a curve.

great job on both, Michel. I was curious to see what could be done with the refinery one. It was so foggy when I took it.
