Posting early this week. You can pretend it's Wednesday. Pictures were taken in Messina, Sicily.

The Rules:
1. Lr Rule 5 - Enjoy
2. The Usual stuff:
All work must be done in either ACR or LR except for cropping, sharpening and using your noise filter. You can make some MINOR changes in PSE/CS3 if you want. If you use a preset, please list the name and a link to the source if you have that information. Also, if you'd like, please describe your workflow. [Or not, but fess up and tell us what you did.]

One think I tried with this image: using a saturation boost together with a vibrance reduction. The latter decreases the saturation of already unsaturated parts, which gives a similar effect to boosting the black channel in CMYK mode. The result may be closer to printed pictures rather than high saturation slides or digital printing.

Added a gradient, a lot of brushwork. I don't think there's a spot that wasn't touched by the brush! And then exposure, tone, sharpening, clarity, and a bunch of other adjustments until I got it to where I think I like it.

Great shot, btw! In spite of my messing with it!

The one thing I didn't do to the one above was take out the noise!

Went a bit heavy with the Clarity and Vibrance adjustments. Also messed with contrast in addition to desaturating all the blue out of it. It was a bit noisy, so I took it to CS3 and hit it with Noise Ninja. I tried in LR2.3, but noise reduction in LR is still not up to par. A bit of a tone adjustment, and messed with sliders until I got to where I liked it. All in LR2.3, except for the noise reduction. And a gradient on the clouds to try and bring them out a bit more. No brush work on this one.
