Pictures were taken in Pompeii.

The Rules:
1. Lr Rule 5 - Enjoy

2. The Usual stuff:

All work must be done in either ACR or LR except for cropping, sharpening and using your noise filter. You can make some MINOR changes in PSE/CS3 if you want. If you use a preset, please list the name and a link to the source if you have that information. Also, if you'd like, please describe your workflow. [Or not, but fess up and tell us what you did.]

3. SOMEONE MUST VOLUNTEER FOR THE COMING WEEKS.

Thanks for posting, Sunny, I'll download your files.
I'll also submit for next week...
I have been very busy recently:
- installing a new computer
- transferring files and software
- installing a second hard disk with Linux (Ubuntu) in dual boot, with common NTFS partitions...
- discovering Linux (very, very positive impressions...)
- trying the last version of Gimp and its companion for raw conversion: Ufraw. Much more advanced than I thought.
- dealing with a crash of Windows in DW's, testing hard disk (OK), reinstalling all software and files (... well nearly all files, DW was confident I had backed up her recent post mail...)
- and playing the 'apprenti sorcier' with a Wifi network to share files between laptop and main computer.
Now, to take me back to photo editing, a friend of mine asks me to make his 2008 photo book from 300 shots or so...

Should know, but assume that means sorcerers apprentice - which for most of us will conjure up images of Mickey Mouse!

Welcome to "geekdom" :woohoo:

Yes, like in Disney's 'Fantasia' with Paul Dukas music... I should go back rapidly to photography and forget computers before I make a catastrophe...

Good grief, Michel. You've had a lot on your plate.

An attempt to recover highlights, two exposures, one with -3.5 the other with +2.65... No problem for the shadows!

The second one is easier, I prefer a warm rendition (no other editing than ACR)

Excellent one.
I was probably wrong in adding a little vibrance.
