When I open a picture in the full edit it automatically changes the caption of the photograph to the make of my camera. Is there a way to prevent that?

I am not understanding what you mean by caption and where is it showing up at...are you using the organizer

here is what I have found don't know if this helps:
in the editor..open image then go file>file info, type the caption in the caption box, click ok or save can't remember which

Yes, I am using the organizer. I have attached a copy of the screen shot. I am refering to where it says KONICA MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERA.

I don't use organizer so really can't help. I looked in the help section of elements and as far as I can tell you have to put the caption in organizer and editor. Someone who uses organizer should be along soon to help, right all you members who use organizer!!!
