Whenever I save a photo using save for web,the first choice that comes up is gif. Then I have to change it to jpeg. Is there a way to make jpeg the default format in save for web? I'm all ears,folks.... :D (I'm using PSE7)

I can't answer your question Chas.
I stopped using save for web when I found out it didn't really change my resolution to 72. Which for some reason, that is what I thought it did.
Now I do it all by image resize.

Chas, when I change gif to jpeg it stays jpeg until I change it again - even if I close PSE/CS. But, I'm using PSE6 and CS4. Maybe that is a quirk of PSE7?

Chas,
I'm using PSE5 - Save For Web is sticky. If I save a jpg, it will be set on jpg the next time I open it.

My pse5 is also always set in the bottom bar to whatever I used last time.If I havent flattened a file that I have saved then the box will have psd in it,but most of my stuff is jpeg so that is what is usually allready there hun.
