Is it possible to copy and save layers in PSE? I some collage templates that have individual photo frames in it that I would like to save as individual files....
ok, nevermind.....(google first, ask second) I found the answer!

If anyone is interested and doesn't know....

you select the layer you want to copy - having a second file open (blank) drag the layer over to the second file and it will then be its own layer on the second file. Then you can save it like that - sweet!
You can simply save the file "as fllename.PSD"; that preserves all of the layers.

If you have a multi-layer file and click Save, and do nothing else, Elements will save it as a PSD file by default. You don't have to do anything special to make it happen.

I don't understand exactly what you're saying .... I am trying to pull one layer out of a multi-layered file and save it by itself in a new file.
Well, if you specifically want to have a one-layer file, then do what you outline in your second post. Or, you could duplicate your file (File > Duplicate) and delete all of the layers except the one you want.
