This was one of the pretty blah images I took yesterday during our decorating efforts. Everything was washed out, flat and even the composition wasn't much to get excited about.
I thought a sketch might add some life to it and then decided to use one of Kimi's old homework assignments: Soft-edged Cell-shading. Thanks, Kimi, that looks pretty cool The "after" is in my gallery.
After all was done I used two masked adjustment layers, one to tone down the white poinsettias in the front and one to brighten the focus just a bit in the center.
