I'm a heretic, I admit it. But, I'm convinced that, if God had wanted B&W pictures of sunsets, he wouldn't have invented Kodachrome 64! (He would have put his foot down at Kodachrome 10)

Seriously, both are excellent. But for this kind of image, I have to lean towards the color versions.

Kimi: Dodge and Burn looks very promising, and I will be trying it.

Re focus: Now that I have my glasses, I looked again at the other two images I took immediately after the subject. They are equally fuzzy. I have had two pictures in a row out of focus, but never three. Further, the crest of the mountains is not blurred. Evidently the clouds were just abraded by the powerful wind.

Gordon... make sure you use a soft edge brush and a very low opacity. say around 12%. ;)
