Unlike Suzanne, I didn't have a real dramatic image that came to mind (I'm still looking). But, I really did want to try that tut; this is what I started with...
and this is the result (no experimenting, just following the instructions)...
Now that I've worked thru, I'm ready for experimentation. I now understand what the photo filter step does --- need to mask it if I want the bird colors to stay true. I would want it to just affect the sky.
Oh well, this looks like a fun one to play with.
