I put this picture in for Make Art Monday ( It isn't exactly art but it was fun to try out different filters on the different layers) and I thought someone might like to see the original picture. Here is the before:

Thanks for the nice comments. I was just messing around with the aircraft engine picture. I actually took the picture because I thought it might be fun to play with. It was!!! :biggrin:

As far as I remember, I selected the engine and put in on its own layer. Then I copied it 3 (or 4) times and rotated each layer so it looked like a metal flower. Next I selected similar parts of the engine and did ctrl J to put each selection on their own layers. Layer by layer I messed with the colors, filters, and layer styles. And the "Art" is what I ended up with.
