My great grandparents, around 1940. I'm guessing at the date, I know they lived in that house about that time.

First is the original.

Second one was cropped, minor clone stamp work, brightness and contrast adjustment done.

Last one I just did today while preparing to post the other two. I added a sepia effect. To my eye that was quite an improvement. I like it best.

The sepia one just kind of looks more like the era the photo was taken. I think sepia just softens up those old photos to give them more interest.

Chas, I like the B&W one too, I just like the sepia better. Like Tina, I think it softens up the photo some.

My favorite part of all three photos though is the way Grandma is looking at Grandpa.
